About the Project
QOM needed more than a public-facing news website. It needed a complete publishing operation: fast reading experiences for audiences, practical editorial controls for the newsroom, and a dependable path from draft to placement, publication, advertising, and distribution. Code Huddle designed and engineered QOM as a bilingual product system, with English and Urdu treated as first-class editions rather than one language being an afterthought.

Unpacking the architecture, innovations, and real-world results
QOM’s reader experience gives breaking news, latest stories, opinion, video, photo, and category coverage a clear hierarchy without overwhelming the page. Responsive layouts keep the same editorial intent across desktop and mobile, while story pages support rich media and focused long-form reading.
A role-aware newsroom CRM brings Story Studio, desk boards, homepage placement, navigation, media, advertising, staff access, and site settings together. Editors can move from draft to a curated live homepage without stitching together disconnected tools or waiting for a developer to make routine editorial changes.
The system supports separate English and Urdu publishing workflows, native right-to-left presentation, and self-hosted Nastaliq typography. Translation assistance can accelerate the editorial process, while the newsroom retains control over the final language, headline, media, placement, and publication state.
Structured metadata, canonical routes, sitemaps, responsive media, social embeds, and push notifications help every published story travel beyond the homepage. The result is a platform designed for discovery and repeat readership across search, social, notifications, and direct visits.
